- One of the most popular things to do on Cape Cod is go whale watching. Though whales can be spotted year-round, peak whale-watching season is from mid-April to October.
- There are even more ways to enjoy the water on the Cape! One of our favorite places for kayaking or paddleboarding is Nickerson State Park, but other great spots include Nauset Marsh, which is teeming with sea life, and Bass River.
- Explore downtown Harwich, one of our favorite small towns on the Cape.

- Head out for a bike ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. It’s a 22-mile bikeway that meanders through Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet.
- Explore Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, home to one of the most protected habitats on Cape Cod. This 7,600-acre preserve features protected dunes, salt and freshwater marshes, and an old lighthouse to admire. It also offers an essential habitat for nesting and migratory seabirds and harbor grey seals that live just off the coast.
- Speaking of lighthouses, don’t miss some or all of the 14 impressive Cape Cod lighthouses up and down the Cape.
